Message from Margreet Jans
Today I spoke with Bonney again. He told me that he, Pr. Emma and Pr. Henry share their income with the 25 leaders who are spread across the new places where the displaced believers are staying. Not that they have much to spare, but they still share the little they receive themselves!
These leaders are there to teach, to encourage and to pray with them, among other things for deliverance. They are all so dedicated! They know what the words of Jesus mean: “Whoever wants to come after Me must deny themselves, take up their cross daily and follow Me.” (Luke 9:23)
The money that has come in so far is mainly used for food. The believers from Bert de Haan’s church are helping as well.
Bonney told us that there are 100 people who need a blanket. They sleep on mats on the hard ground and the nights can be cold. When it is 30 °C during the day and cools down to 17 to 20 degrees at night, you really do need a blanket.
The simple blankets they need cost €10 each. So 100 blankets requires €1,000. Surely we can manage that?
Please keep praying for the displaced believers and for Pr. Bonney and others, who are busy every day helping them in various ways.
